The best advice that I can give to any songwriter is to write songs as much as possible. The more songs you write, the better you will get at the craft. And, how far you can go in developing your craft is unlimited. Songwriting can be addictive simply because it’s fun to do. Yes, songwriting is fun! You can write a song while you’re walking down the street, on a bus, on a plane or sitting on the beach. If that spark of energy hits you that says need to write my song now, you can do it almost anywhere. FYI – Old school – the worst part of when the need to write my song now moment appears is not having something to write it on = no pencil/pen or paper. Today = no excuse. Your phone is permanently attached to your hand!
